About me - Razita

Hello! I’m Razita, a Nurse Practitioner and Credentialed Diabetes Educator, and I’m passionate about helping people live well with diabetes. I’ve dedicated over two decades to my career, starting in my home country of Fiji and spending much of my time as a Registered Nurse in paediatric acute care at some of Sydney’s major hospitals.

My expertise covers a wide range of diabetes management, from children through to adults and the ageing population. I love helping people with advanced therapies like insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), as well as gestational diabetes care and pre-conception counselling. I also enjoy working on preventative health strategies for those at risk.

Outside of the clinic, I love to unwind with a good book, get lost in a new culture through travel, or get my hands dirty in the garden. I am fluent in English and Hindi and look forward to meeting you.

My qualifications

My clinical background is built on extensive education from some of Australia’s leading universities. I completed my Bachelor of Nursing and a Master of Advanced Clinical Practice at the University of Technology Sydney, and obtained my Graduate Certificate in Paediatric Nursing from the Australian College of Nursing.

Later, I went on to earn my Master of Nurse Practitioner from University of Newcastle in 2014.

My specialised expertise in diabetes is cemented in my Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management, from Southern Cross University which I completed in 2017.
